Council Minutes Roll Call Council Minutes July 7/75 TOWN OF NEWCASTLE July 21st, 1975 Minutes of a regular meeting of Council held in the Newcastle Community Hall on Monday, July 21st, 1975 at 1:00 p.m. Mayor Rickard call the meeting to order and lead in prayer. "CARRIED" Mayor Rickard read an invitation from the Newcastle Lions Club inviting the Council and Staff to the Official Opening of the Newcastle Swimming Pool on August 3rd, 1975 at 2:00 p.m. Mayor Rickard suggested that the Community Services Committee and the Recreation Staff tour the municipality and examine property owned by the Municipality for areas which might be developed for recreation. THAT Town of Newcastle By-Law 74-89 being a by-law to establish certain policy and benefits for employees not covered by Union Agreement be amended as follows:- That Section ii(4) be removed and replaced with a new Section to be added to the effect that - Employment must be terminated for employees at the age of 65 with the exception of firemen who must retire at 60 years of age.
