THAT the Council Minutes dated April 21st, 1975 be approved as reado "CARRIED" Mr. A. Alan H. Strike appeared before Council relative to Item 2 of the Committee of the lfuole Report. Resolution #C-75-465 Moved by Con. HObbs, seconded by Con. Allin. THAT Item No. 2 of the Committee of the lfuole Report be withdrffi1n and referred to the To,nl Solicitor, subject to Mr. Strike submitting a brief in writing covering his oral presentation to Council. "CARRIED" Mr. Ken Baptie appeared before Council relative to his application for a building permit to convert a farm building to provide accommodation for transient workers in his tobacco farm on Lot 4, Conc. 5 (Clarke). It was agreed that this matter would be studied together with a similar study of the Darlington By-law. (See Resolution #CW-150-75 and Resolution #C-75-502). Mr. Bruce Smith and Mr. J. Leavis appeared before Council relative to a petition presented by the tenants of the Town Houses at 100 Liberty Street North, Bo,nnanville and others. The petition 'laS complaining about the condition of the building and asking Council's aid in rectifying the situation. . . -- Council Hinutes Courtice Concept Mr. J. THAT an offer be made to purchase the Honeywell Plant for $500,000 subject to approval of the llegion and O.M.B., the Solicitor be instructed to draft the offer, and if this is approved the Clerk be instructed to prepare the necessary By-law of $615,000 for acquisition of land and building ffild updating same, and a special meeting of Council be held on May 7th, at 4:00 p.m. in Court Room No. 2 to ratify the By-law, and furthermore, if the by-law is approved by Council the Clerk be directed to take the by-law to the Regional Commissioner of Finance ,.,ith the request that it be approved for processing by the O.M.B. and furthermore, when this approval has been obtained, the Clerk seek an appointment to meet with the O.M.B. and any member of Council is authorised to attend this meeting. THAT this Council authorizes the publication of a Public Notice, regarding the destruction of weeds under the provision of the Heed Control Act of the Province of Ontario and directs the Regional Weed Inspectors to cause noxious weeds or vlecd seeds to be destroyed in such a raan!lcr as they may deem proper and that the expenses incurred by the said Weed Inspectors in the discharge of their duties shall be placed on the Collector's Roll of this ~~nicipality against the respective parcels concerned and that such amounts shall be collected in the same manner as taxes under The Hunicipal Act.
