Special Council Meeting TOWN OF NEWCASTLE December 7th, 1976 Minutes of a Special Meeting of Council held on Tuesday, December 7th, 1976 at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers, Bowmanville. Roll Call Present were: Mayor Councillor Garnet B. Rickard Donald W. Allin Ann Cowman Ivan M. Hobbs H. Bruce Tink By-Law No. 76-72 Mr. Carl Todd and Mr. Ewart Robinson were present in connection with this By-law. Resolution #S.76-l377 Moved by Con. Hobbs, seconded by Con. Tink. THAT leave be granted to introduce By-Law No. 76-72 being a by-law to stop up and close and authorize the conveyance of part of the road allowance between Concessions 5 and 6 through Lots 1, 2 and 3, Township of Clarke (now in the To~~ of Newcastle), and that the said by-law be now read a first time. "CARRIEDII Resolution #C-76-l378 Moved by Con. Tink, seconded by Con. Hobbs. THAT the second reading of By-Law No. 76-72 be approved. Resolution #C-76-l379 Moved by Con. CC";:'".an, seconded by Con. Allin. THAT the foregoing Resolution be tabled pending a report from the Public Works Committee meeting on December 9th, 1976. "CARRIED" I 1. . . . Special Council Minutes - 2 - December 7th, 1976 Resolution #C-76-1380 Moved by Con. Allin, seconded by Con. Tink. Tyrone Hall THAT the letter dated November 25th, 1976 from Totten, Sims & Hubicki relative to the inspection of the Tyrone Building be received and that their reco~~endation be adopted as follows:- "It is reconunended that the Tyrone Board put in writing the action taken regarding the repair to well so that an assessment can be made as to whether the Contractor is responsible for this work or not. If this report is not presented within two weeks, it will be assumed the Tyrone Board are in agreement with TSH's earlier recommendation that the contractor was not responsible for the well problems and the remaining money owing to the contractor will be paid." and that the Tyrone Community Hall Board be so advised.
