Minutes of a special Council Meeting held in the Committee
Room at Bowmanville Town Hall on Thursday, September 16th,
1976 at 2:00 p.m.

The Planner, Mr. 1IPwden and Town Clerk J.M. McIlroy were
also present.

Plan
Studies
As provided by Resolution ffCV-446-76 Mr. Martin, Mr. Lawrence
and Mr. Gourley of M.M. Dillon Limited appeared before Council
relative to the Secondary Plans. Council discussed the
possibility of MoM. Dillon Associates carrying out the studies
and Mr. Martin indicated that his firm could rot complete all
three studies, i.e. Bowmanville, Newcastle and Courtice, by
October 31st, 1976.
The MoM. Dillon representation left the meeting and Mr. Turnbell
of Damas & Smith Limited joined the meeting.
After discussing his firm's proposal Mr. Turnbull left the
meeting.

Moved by Con. Cowman, seconded by Con. Allin.
THAT M.M. Dillon Limited represented by Mr. Peter }1artin, be
engaged to commence work on the Bowmanville and Newcastle
Secondary Studies, to be completed by October 31st, 1976 at
the quoted price and, without prejudice, be invited back to
further negotiate the handling of the Courtice Secondary Study.

THAT the Regional Planning Staff be advised of the foregoing
Resolution and requested to cooperate with the Study.

THAT a Committee be formed of the Planner, the Regional
Planning Commissioner or his designate, the Town Clerk or
his designate and any member of Council who wishes to be
present to meet at regular intervals to liaise with the
consultc.ntc.

with all Council.
