Minutes of a regular meeting of Council held in the
Bowmanville Council Chambers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday,
June 7th, 1976.
Mayor Rickard called the meeting to order and lead in the
Lord's Prayer.

Mnyor Rickard brought to Councils attention a Certificate
of Appreciation presented to the Town by the Bowmanville
Jaycees.
Representatives of the Central Lake Ontario Conservation
Authority had adVised that they would be unable to be
present.
CoUncil concurred with Councillor Lyallts request that
Mrs. Sadler be heard ahead of the other delegations.
I1r. Eric Gareau of 63 Alonna Street, Bowmanville spoke
on behalf of I1rs. Sadler and other residents in that area
regarding a pri7acy fence between their houses and the
TOwnhouses being bUilt by Clarion Investments. He suggested
that six or seven foot high shrubs would be preferable
to a high fence.

THAT a Committee of three, the Mayor and two others
appointed by him, explore the matter of appointing a
new Solicitor for the Town.
