Present were: Mayor Councillor Garnet B. Rickard - at 7:10 p.rn. Donald W. Allin Mrs. Ann Cowman Kirk Entwisle Ivan M. Hobbs Kenneth E. Lyall H. Bruce Tink Councillor Entwisle was appointed acting Chairman in the absence of the Mayor and called the meeting to order and lead in the Lord's Prayer. Resolution #C-76-1 Moved by Con. Allin, seconded by Con. Cowman. THAT the Council Minutes dated December 15th, 1975 be approved as read. "CARRIED" It was noted that in the second Paragraph of Resolution #C-75-1444 the word "SoCiologically" had been misspelled as "Socialistically". Resolution #C-76-2 Moved by Con. Allin, seconded by Con. Hobbs. THAT the minutes of a special meeting of Council dated December 18th, 1975 be approved as read. "CARRIED" Resolution #C-76-3 Moved by Con. Allin, seconded by Con. Cowman. THAT the minutes of a special meeting of Council dated December 22nd, 1975 be approved as read. "CARRIED" Councillor Cowman questioned the legality of the minutes of December 18th, 1975 as she had received no notice. Mayor Rickard assumed the Chair at this point in the meeting. ..---. ,- '. TllAT the Community Services Colllllittee Chairman'S Report of meeting held on December 15th, 1975 be adopted as amended. "CARRIED" Resolution #C-76-5 Moved by Con. Hobbs,' seconded by Con. Entwisle. THAT Item 12 of the foregoing Report be tabled until an estimated ,cost of the study has been provided. "CARRIED" Resolution #C-76-6 Moved by Con. Tink, seconded by Con. Hobbs. Council Minutes Town Clerk's Report re Indian Industries Public Council Meeting December 17/75 James Robinson re Yugo Construction (Tomina) Purchase of Coffee Urn - 3 - January 5, 1976 Resolution HC-76-9 Moved by Con. Entwisle, seconded by Con. lJ.lin. THAT the Town Clerk's report dated December 19th, 1975 regarding Official Plan Amendment (Indian Industries) be received and that it be recorrrnended to the Region that the Amendment be processed. "CARRIED" Resolution HC-76-10 Moved by Con. Hobbs, seconded by Con. Cowman. THAT the minutes of the Public Council Meeting of December 17th, 1975 be adopted as read. "CARRIED" Mr. J. Robill.aon requested that Council pass a Resolution in support of the past actions of the Town with regard to the Zoning By-law Amendment and Land Division Corrrnittee Decision which has been appealed by the Region. Resolution HC-76-11 Moved by Con. Entwisle, seconded by Con. Cowman. THAT the Solicitor and the Planner be engaged to support the To.tn's position at the Ontario Municipal Board Hearing. Council Minutes Mr. D. Moffatt, MoP.P. - 4 - January 5th, 1976 Mr. Moffatt addressed Council regarding the status of the Impact Study relative to the Darlington Generating Station. THAI the Clerk co-operate with Mr. Moffatt and keep him advised of the actions of Council regarding the Darlington Generating Station and request Mr. ~loffatt to initiate action to support Council in and out of the legislature in this regard. THAI the Treasurer be requested to complete and return the questionnaire submitted by Mr. t.loffatt and that this questionnaire be submitted to the Finance Collllllittee before returning to Mr. t1offatt. "CARRIED" Hr. Moffatt invited Council to a public seminar regarding Regicna1 Covernment to be held in the Bowmanville Senior Public School at 7:30 p.m. on January 27th, 1976.
