Minutes of a special meeting of Council held in the Committee
Room at Bowmanville Town Hall at 5 p.m. on Monday, September 26th,
1977 .
Present were: Mayor Gamet B. Rickard
Councillor Donald W. Allin
Councillor Robert Dykstra
Councillor Alfred ~ay
Councillor Jasper W. Holliday
Councillor R. Bruce Taylor
Town Clerk J.M. McIlroy
Absent: Councillor Edward R. Woodyard

Moved by Con. Holliday, seconded by Con. Taylor.
THAT the Town of Newcastle make representation to the
Environmental Hearings on the Port Granby Uranium Refinery.

Moved by Con. Dykstra, seconded by Con. Taylor.
THAT the firm of I.B.I. Consultants and John Willms, Solicitor,
be retained to represent the Town of Newcastle at the
Environmental Hearings on the Port Granby Uranium Refinery at
the Newcastle Community Hall on October 4th, 5th and 6th, 1977
for an upset fee of $8,000.
