Minutes of a special meeting of Council held in the Bowmanville
Committee Room at 1 p.m. on Monday, August 29th, 1977.

THAT the application of Van Canada Automotive Shows to hold a
Fireworks Display at Mosport Park on September 3rd, 1977, having
been approved by the Fire Chief, be approved.

THAT the request contained in the letter dated August 26th, 1977
from Strike, Strike & Van Nest be approved and Council accept
the conveyance of a piece of land 12 feet by 105 feet in front
of the property known as 112 Duke Street, Bowmanville.

THAT leave be granted to introduce By-Law No. 77-63 being a
by-law to amend restricted area By-Law Number 2111 as amended
of the former Township of Darlington (Roy Nichols Motors), and
that the said by-law be now read a first time.

approved.

THAT the Ontario Municipal Board be advised that By-Law
No. 77-63 is in conformity with the Official Plan of the
former Township of Darlington and with the proposed Official
Plan of the Regional Municipality of Durham.

THAT the letter from Doctor W. Gilchrist and Dr. H.R. Rowsell
relative to a one day horse trial at Terra Nova Farm on the
8th Concession (Darlington) be forwarded to the Director of
Public Works and By-Law Enforcement Officer for report to next
Council Meeting with recommendations, bearing in mind possibility
of a Mosport Week End, number of homes affected on the road
to be closed, etc.
