Minutes of a Special meeting of Council

Moved by Con. Taylor, seconded by Con. Gray
THAT the report of the Public Works Co1lllllittee meeting
held on July 7, 1977, be adopted.

THAT the report of the Planning Administration Co1lllllittee
meeting held on July 6, 1977, be adopted.

THAT the following recommendations of the Liaison Co1lllllittee
for the Proposed Darlington Generating Station be approved:
a) That the Hydro Liaison Committee recommend to Council
that the Town of Newcastle prepare a written brief for a personal
presentation to the Royal Co1lllllission on Electric Power Planning
regarding the process that the Town of Newcastle went through
with respect to the Darlington Generating Station and further
that Phil Levine and John Willms be authorized to draft a
brief, regarding the aforementioned concerns, for the consid-
eration of the C01lllllittee at their next meeting.

b) That DeLeuw Cather be authorized through Ontario Hydro
to proceed with work on South Service Road between Holt and
Waverley Roads, at Hydro cost in keeping with Mr. Anderson's
letter dated July 8, 1977.

THAT the letter dated July 6, 1977 from Environment
Canada addressed to Mayor Rickard be received and acknow-
ledged and referred to the Special Committee on Eldorado
matters.

THAT the matter of Planning Department filing cabinets be
referred to the Personnel and Property Committee.
