Cowman re Tax Increase Jaycees re Bowmanville Week . - 5 - June 20th. 1977 Mr. Mark Hancock appeared before Council relative to road realignment 7th Concession, Town Line, Oshawa. Resolution #C-77-92l Moved by Con. Woodyard, seconded by Con. Holliday. THAT the matter be referred to the Public Works Committee for reconsideration and request the City of Oshawa for a joint meeting to consider the problem. "CARRIED" Mr. Leslie J. Lohanyay appeared before Council regarding the problem of gravel and stones being thrown on his lawn by the snow plow in the Winter and the grader in the Summer. Resolution #C-77-922 Moved by Con. Allin, seconded by Con. Taylor. THAT the matter be referred to the Public Works Committee for consideration to try to rectify the problem. "CARRIED" Mrs. Joan Higginson of the Social Planning Council appeared before Council to advise them of a grant being received for Community Care. She asked Council to kindly appoint a representative on the Steering Committee for the disposition of the grant funds. The matter was referred for consideration later in the meeting. Mrs. A. Cowman appeared before Council regarding tax increase in Darlington Township, requesting more services in the Court ice Area. Mrs. Cowman also presented a brief from Courtice Area Community Association. Mr. James Robinson appeared before Council regarding Program for Bowmanville Week July 1st to 9th, 1977 and requested approval of same. Resolution #C-77-923 Moved by Con. Allin, seconded by Con. Resolution #C-77-925 Moved by Con. Holliday, seconded by Con. Taylor. THAT Frank Cowan Company confirm in writing what Mr. McLellan had presented to Council and that this letter be in the Clerk's hands by 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 22nd, 1977 and that it be considered by Council on Thursday, June 23rd, 1977. "CARRIED" Mrs. Yvonne Ricard appeared before Council regarding Amusement Arcade in the Village of Newcastle and indicated that she had secured a location in the Second Hand Store next to the Queens Hotel in the Village of Newcastle.
