Minutes of a special meeting of Council held in Court Room
No.2 at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, June 13th, 1977.
Present were: Mayor Garnet B. Rickard

Moved by Con. Holliday, seconded by Con. Taylor.
THAT the President of the Bowmanville Jaycee's be heard
regarding Bowmanville Week.

Mr. Moroz requested that Council approve of a permit for the
sale of beer on Temperance Street on July 7th, 8th and 9th, 1977
and at Soper Creek Park on July 1st and 2nd, 1977. The
matter was deferred until the next Council Meeting on June 20th,
1977 .

THAT leave be granted to introduce By-Law No. 77-44 being a
by-law to amend By-Law No. 76-54, being a by-law to provide
for the licensing and registration of dogs and for regulating
the running at large of dogs, and that the said by-law be now
read a first time.

THAT By-Law No. 77-44 be amended as follows:
That the words "in addition to the above mentioned fees" be
added to Section 3(v).

THAT the by-law be further amended to indicate that in the
event that a Town Employee is sent out to collect from
delinquent owners for dog licences, an additional $2.00 fee
will be charged.

THAT the third reading of By-Law No. 77-44 be approvej as

as of July 1st, 1977.

Councillor Dykstra introduced an amended agreement with regard
to extension to Bowmanville Mall Site Plan. (See Resolution
#C-77-825).

THAT the agreement as presented by Councillor Dykstra be approved
by Council and signed by the Mayor and Town Clerk.

THAT the necessary rezoning be carried out and that the Planning
Director be asked to submit the appropriate By-law to Council.

as submitted by the Town Clerk be approved.

THAT the Town Clerk be instructed to make an offer to Bell Canada
for purchase of the building at Church and Temperance Street
in Bowmanville at a price of $50,000, subject to O.M.B. approval
for financing and also that the parking requirements can be
accommodated.

Mayor Rickard left the meeting at this point and Councillor
Dykstra assumed the Chair.

Moved by Con. Woodyard, seconded by Con. Taylor.
THAT the tender of Oshawa Refrigeration Service Limited for
air conditioner at the Bowrnanville Library be accepted at a
price of $14,101.89 plus an increase of ~maximum and that
this be financed out of lot levies if POSSi~.
