Minutes of a Special Meeting of Council held in Court
Room No.2 on Tuesday, May 24th, 1977 at 2:00 p.m.

Present were:

Mayor Rickard advised that the meeting was legally called by
petition of a majority of Council Members to consider By-Law
No. 77-39 incconnection with the Participation House rezoning

Moved by Con. Dykstra, seconded by Con. Taylor.
By-Law No.
77-39
THAT leave be granted to introduce By-Law No. 77-39 being a
by-law to amend Zoning By-Law No. 1587 of the former Town
of Bowmanville as amended, and that the said by-law be now
read a first time.

Suspension

THAT Rule 33 be suspended for the duration of the meeting.

The meeting was adjourned to permit the Town Clerk and Planner
to make certain investigations.
The meeting was reconvened at 3:30 p.m. and following a report
by the Town Clerk and Planner the second reading of By-Law
No. 77-39 was approved.

Moved by Con, Taylor, seconded by Con. Dykstra,
THAT the third and final reading of By-Law No. 77-39 be
approved.

Moved by Con. Allin, seconded by Con. Dykstra,
THAT Mr. Lovekin be advised as soon as possible of the passing
of By-Law No. 77-39 and requested to take whatever immediate
action was necessary to get it to the Ontario Municipal Board.

THAT the meeting be adjourned at 3:40 p.m.
