REPORT TO THE GENERAL PURPOSE AND ADMINISTRATION COMMITTEE
MEETING HELD SEPTEMBER 3 1985
ADMIN. 55 - 85
SUBJECT: DURHAM CENTRAL AGRICULTURAL FAIR
It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and Administration
Committee recommend to Council the following:
1. That Administrator`s report ADMIN. 55 - 85 be received for information.
BACKGROUND AND COMMENT:
In July 1985 Council approved the Town's participation in the Durham
Central Agricultural Fair "Orono Fair". Since that time Town officials
have worked with Fair Board members to organize an exhibit that will
promote the industries that are located in the Town. The exhibit
"Newcastle Growing Together" will be located at the north east corner
of the arena and will highlight various products that are manufactured in
the Town. Several of the participating manufacturers have donated prizes
for a draw that is being held on Saturday afternoon (3:30 p.m.).
