RECOMMENDATIONS:
It is respectfully recommended
1.` That Administrator's report ADMIN. 75 - 85 be received;
2. That the Mayor and Clerk be authorized to sign the necessary
easement documents with respect to the proposed watermain; and
3. That the Region of Durham be advised of Council's action and return the
necessary documents to them.
BACKGROUND AND COMMENT:
For a number of years residents and Regional officials have been concerned with
respect to the water supply for the Orono area. In order to improve the situation,
the Region has undertaken the upgrading of water supplies to the system. In order
to connect a new source of water to the current system, it is necessary for the
Region to have an easement as noted in the attached documentation. It is, therefore,
appropriate that Council authorize the execution of the necessary easements so that
the project may be completed.
