SUBJECT: Northumberland aid Newcastle Board of Education Brief
April 28th, 1981 Meeting
The members of Council were invited to attend a
meeting on April 28th, 1981, with the committee of The
Northumberland and Newcastle Board of Education. At this
time, we were presented with a brief to the Corporation
of the Town of Newcastle relative to the Town of Newcastle's
share of educational costs within the Northumberland and
Newcastle Board of Education.
A copy of this report has been distributed to
all members of Council and heads of departments.
While at the meeting, we expressed our
appreciation to the Board for holding the meeting and for
the opportunity to discuss the report.
I would recommend that this brief be received
for information and ask that the Treasurer bring this report
forward, together with his comments, to the next meeting
of the Finance and Administration Committee.
