Rickard, Mayor SUBJECT: MAYOR'S REPORT No. 1-84 BOWMANVILLE'S 125TH ANNIVERSARY COINS ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- RECOMMENDATIONS: It is respectfully recommended: 1. That this ,report be received; and 2. That Council consider the request of the Bowmanville Museum. BACKGROUND AND COMMENT: Attached hereto is a copy of a letter from Mrs. Susan Laing, the Chairman of the Bowmanville Museum, the contents of which letter are self-explanatory. The Town of Newcastle does have a number of 125th Anniversary Coins in safe -keeping and I would suggest that some of these coins be offered to the Bowmanville Museum for sale at $1.00 each. The Bowmanville Museum would be interested in purchasing some or all of these remaining coins at $1.00 each. We have had many inquiries from people wishing to purchase a coin.
