REPORT TO THE GENERAL PURPOSE AND ADMINISTRATION COMMITTEE
MEETING OF NOVEMBER 5th, 1984

SUBJECT: MAYOR'S REPORT NO. 4-84
APPOINTMENT OF ACTINGS MAYORS AND CHAIRMANSHIP OF
GENERAL PURPOSE AND ADMINISTRATION COMMITTEE FOR THE
PERIOD DECEMBER 1st, 1984 to NOVEMBER 30th, 1985

RECOMMENDATIONS:
It is respectfully recommended:
1. That this report be received; and
2. That the Acting Mayor and Chairmanship of the General
Purpose and Administration Committee be established for
the period December 1st, 1984 to November 30th, 1985, in
accordance with the Schedule "A" attached hereto; and
3. That the necessary by-laws be prepared and forwarded to
Council for approval.
COMMENT:
On December 6th, 1982, at the Inaugural Meeting of this Council,
by-laws were passed to appoint Acting Mayors and establish committee
chairmanship for the next year. At that time, it was decided that the
next year, ie. 1983, the appointments of Acting Mayors and Chairmanships
would rotate ahead one Member of Council, ie. Councillor Cowman. The
appropriate by-laws were passed for the period December lst, 1983 to
November 30th, 1984.
I have therefore attached hereto a Schedule "A" which indicates
the appointment of Acting Mayors and Chairmanships for the period, December
1st, 1984 to November 30th, 1985.
