MEETING OF APRIL 15th, 1985

SUBJECT: MAYOR'S REPORT No. 7-85
INDUSTRIAL TOUR
RECOMMENDATIONS:
It is respectfully recommended that Committee recommend to
Council the following:
1. That the Council of the Town of Newcastle
have an industrial tour on Monday, April 29th, 1985..

BACKGROUND AND COMMENT:
As a result of a very successful industrial tour on
October 29th, 1984, I would suggest that Council hold another tour on
April 29th, 1985 as this is the fifth Monday in the month of April.
The arrangements will be made by my office and Members
of Council will be informed of the schedule a few days in advance of the
tour.
I expect that the tour would commence at 9:00 a.m. on
that day.
Mr. Gerard Gervais, the Commissioner of Economic
Development for the Region of Durham has agreed to take part in this tour.
