SLRECT: Goodyear Canada Inc., Bowmanville Plant
Local 189
RECOMMENDATIONS:
It is respectfully recommended to Council the following:.
1. That this report be received; and
2. That a letter of appreciation be forwarded to Local 189 of the
Goodyear Canada Inc., Bowmanville plant to thank them for
the plaque which was presented to Council.

BACKGROUND AND COMMENT:
Mr. George DeMille, the President of Local 189 at the Bowmanville plant
of Goodyear Canada Inc., attended at my office on Friday, November 22nd and presented
me with a plaque, on behalf of Council, in appreciation of Council's support of
Goodyear's 75th Anniversary celebrations. It was originally planned that
Mr. DeMille would present the plaque at a Council Meeting but because of business
commitments, this was not possible.
I believe that a letter should be sent to Mr. DeMille as President
of Local 189 to thank the organization for this plaque.
