REPORT TO COUNCIL MEETING OF NOVEMBER 10, 1986.
SUBJECT: SPECIAL GENERAL PURPOSE AND ADMINISTRATION COMMITTEE MEETING OF
FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 7, 1986.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
1. That Report CS-64-86 be received; and
.
2.
That the "Design/Buil dOl method be employed for the construction of
the new arena; and
3. That the Town enter into an agreement with Barry Associates Limited
to an upset limit of $115,000.00 (which includes a 10% contingency)
for cons ulti ng servi ces as re 1 ated to thei r proposal for Des i gn/Buil d
method of construction of the new arena,recognizing that the
Municipality reserves the right to limit the level of the consultant's
participation at any time, and expenditures incurred be charged to
the Arena Reserve Fund; and
4. That the reports on servicing costs from the Region be brought to
the General Purpose and Administration Committee for review and
decision whether to proceed with full municipalcservices or private
services; and
5. That the design include the possibility of staging the twin pad
arena; and
.
6.
That the Treasurer present a report to the General Purpose and
Administration Committee on the possibility of increased Wintario
funding for a twin pad facility.
