That the minutes of the meeting on January 12, 19769 be adopted
as printed.

(2) OPPICIAL PLAN DISCUSSION PAPER # 4
The draft proposal for The Official Plan for the Regional
Municipality of Durham, together with Mr. Howden's report
# 188 and attachments thereto were reviewed and discussed.
The recommendations, as follows were noted in report # 188.
a) That the attached comments, with any modifications desired
by the Committee or Council, be endorsed by Council, and
that copies be forwarded to all members of the Region's
Planning and Development Committee.

b) That in order to ensure that proper regard is paid to the
Town's comments, a joint meeting of Council, the Planning
Advisory Committee and the Regional Planning and Development
Committee be requested to consider each of the Town's
comments.

Moved by Mr. R. Yates, seconded by Dr. H. R. Rowsell,
That Director's report #188, as it relates to Estate -Residential
lots and set down as item 3.5.3.1 (b) on the bottom of page 11,
be modified by adding as follows -
That the Regions policy, that no more than 25 individual estate
residential lots be created in a municipality in a single
calendar year, be deleted with respect to The Town of Newcastle
and be replaced by the policy and criteria relating to estate
residential lots, as described in the Interim District Plan
for The Town of Newcastle.

At Mr. Howden's request, it was agreed to delete item 3.3.2.
13 (a) on page 10 and item 5.5 on page 13 of report # 188.

That this meeting do now adjourn and to re -convene at 7030 P.M.
on Tuesday, February 3, in the Hampton Munioipal Building.
