Moved by Con. Woodyard, seconded by Mayor Rickard
Adoption THAT the minutes of the meeting of February 27, 1978 be
of Minutes adopted as read.

Moved by Mayor Rickard, seconded by Con. Woodyard
Res.#CS-41-78 THAT the Fire Chief be advised that it is Region's Policy
Use of Hydrants to charge for coming to the Fire Hall and draining the
at Fire Halls hydrant, and hydrants should only be used during a fire
and trucks should be filled inside the Hall following a
fire.

Moved by Mayor Rickard, seconded by Con. Woodyard
Grind Damage THAT it be recommended to Council that they accept the proposal
Visual of Ashley 333 in the amount of $3,557. for repairs to wind
Arts damage to the roof at the Visual Arts Building.

Orono THAT it be recommended to Council that the Town take over the
Swimming administration of the swimming programme in Orono provided the
Programme cost to the Town is no greater than last year.

Stand-by pump THAT it be recommended to Council that authority be given
Darlington to the D'_rector of Community Services to instal a stand-by
Sports Centre pump at the Darlington Sports Centre.

Sign THAT permission be granted to instal a sign at the Newcastle
Newcastle Village Ball. Park provided it complies with the Town of
Ball Park Newcastle by --laws.

Meeting with THAT it be recommended to Council that the meeting requested
C.L.O.C. re by the Town with C.L.O.C.A. regarding the Hampton Park
Hampton Park ConservationArea be held on Tuesday, April 25, 1978 at 7:30 p.m.
Conservation in the Darlington Snorts Centre.

Moved by Mayor Rickard, seconded by Con. Woodyard
Mens Teachers THAT the Men's Teachers Federation be advised that Town
Federation policy allows no reduction in the cost of ice time at
request of the Arenas for Charity Groups owing to restraints in the
reduction budget at this time.

Budget A discussion of the budgets of the Department of Community
Services followed.

Debt THAT it be recommended to Council that the Debt charges
Charges related to the debentured repairs to the Bowmanville
Bowmanville Arena be charged to lot levies.

Meeting THAT the review of the budgets continue at a meeting to
March 17/78 be held on Friday, March 17, 1978 at 9:30 a.m. in Court
