Holliday Recreation THAT the report of the Deputy Director of Community Activities Services regarding Newcastle Village Figure Skating Fall & Winter Club be accepted as amended, that the fee structure Fee.Structure be the same as the balance of the Town of Newcastle and those persons using private lessons in the Village be reimbursed; intermediates - $10. and Seniors - $15. for each registration and the following Recreation Activities Fall and Winter Fee Structure be recommended to Council: Baton & Tap $15.00 Figure Skating - Beginners $25.00 - Junior $35,00 - Intermediate $50.00 - Senior $60.00 Learn to Skate $ 2.00 Power Skating - 10 weeks $20.00 Skating Carnival - Admission $ 2.00/$1,00 Hockey - 20 weeks $50.00 Adult Swimming $18.00 Jamboree - Admission $ 2.00/.50C "CARRIED" Resolution TICS -144-78 Moved by Con. Dykstra Snow Fence THAT it be recommended to Council that the Newcastle Newcastle Lakers Ball Team be asked to return the snow fence Village from the Village Park which had been erected without Park authorization from the Town, in order to facilitate maintenance. Dykstra Tennis Courts THAT the matter of the Tennis Courts at the Courtice Courtice High High School be pursued by the Director of Community School Services and Councillor Holliday with the School Board, to investigate locations. Allin Achievement THAT the Director of Community Services be authorized Awards to purchase 200 medallions @$2.75 each from Hooper's Trophy Centre, to be given out by the Town as Achievement Awards. Holliday Ms. Jean THAT the report of the Community Services Director Braybrook and the letter from David Radcliffe, Family re Youth Counsellor in the Region of Durham, Social Services Centre Department, regarding petition of Ms. Jean Braybrook Bowmanville re need for Youth Centre in Bournanville, be received for information. Dykstra Competitive THAT it be recommended to Council that they concur Swimming with the report of the Deputy Director of Community Program Services regarding the formation of a Competitive Swimming Program with a registration fee of $15.00 for the summer. Dykstra Purchase of THAT it be recommended to Council that they approve Flat Bed of the purchase of a flat bed truck for the use of Truck the Community Services Department, at a cost of $6,539. plus tax, providing it can be accommodated in the Budget. Dykstra, seconded by Mayor Rickard By -Law to THAT the proposed by-law to establish the Orono establish Arena as a Community Centre and to provide for the a Community establishment of a Community Centre Board, be put Centre at the on the Agenda for the next meeting. Dykstra Parks THAT it be recommended to Council that the Minister Reserve of Housing be asked for authority to transfer up to Fund $5,000. from the Parks Fund for maintenance of Parks. "CARRIED" Resolution 4ICS-153-78 Moved by Con. Dykstra, seconded by Con. Holliday THAT the recommendation regarding the purchase of a truck for the Community Services Department be put before Council at the meeting of June 5, 1978. "CARRIED" Resolution /ICS -154-78 Moved by Mayor Rickard, seconded by Con. Holliday Water Service THAT the Town Manager be authorized to sign the Newcastle necessary papers at the Region so that a new water Community service can be installed at the Newcastle Community Hall Hall. "CARRIED" Community Services Committee - 5 - Resolution #CS -155-78 June 5, 1978 Moved by Con. Holliday, seconded by Con. Dykstra Orono THAT it be recommended to Council that unless more Town interest is shown in the Orono Community Hall Board, Hall serious consideration be given to selling or demolishing the Orono Town Hall. Holliday THAT the Mayor and Councillor Woodyard contact the people in Orono and come up with a list of names to serve on a Hall Board for the next meeting.
