Roll Present were: Councillor Alfred Gray, Chairman Call Councillor D. W. Allin, Member Councillor J. W. Holliday, Member, at 7.10 p.m. Deputy Clerk, G. Gray Adoption THAT the minutes of meetings of July 4, 1977 and July 7, 1977 of Minutes be adopted as read. "CARRIED" Resolution #CS -204-77 Moved by Con. Allin, seconded by Con. Gray ^oening THAT it be recommended to Council that the dates of the opening Arenas of Arenas, as recommended by the Director of Parks and Recreation, .,owmanville be adopted as follows: Bowmanville, September 13, 1977 and and Darlington Darlington Sports Centra, September 29, 1977. Gray Pollution THAT the report of the Director of Parks and Recreation regarding in Ice Rinks Pollution in Ice Rinks be concurred with and forwarded to Council. "CARRIED" Resolution #CS -206-77 Moved by Con. Allin, seconded by Con. Gray B.M.H.A. THAT the letter from the Bowmanville Minor Hockey Association addressed to Mr. Roy Neads, Arena Manager, be received and they be informed of the Resolution being recommended to Council regarding dates of Arena Openings. Holliday Summer THAT the Report of the Director of Parks and Recreation regarding Programmes registration in summer programs, be received for information. "CARRIED" Resolution OPCS -208 - Moved by Con. Allin, seconded by Con. Holliday St. Joseph's THAT the letter from St. Joseph's School thanking the Recreation School Play Department for their help with the playground project, be received Ground for information. "CARRIED" Resolution OPCS -209-77 Moved by Con. Holliday, seconded by Con. Allin Jaycees THAT in keeping, with the report of the Director of Parks and Programmes Recreation, it be recommended to Council that a letter be sent to the Jaycees requesting that they clean up after completing their programs. "CARRIED" Rural The Director of Parks and Recreation gave a report of the work Employment done by the Rural Employment Incentive Program. Incentive Program Resolution #CS -210-77 Moved by Con. Holliday deCycles THAT a letter of appreciation be sent to the Bowmanville Lions Club Club for their co-operation in housing the members of the deCycles Club, on July 26, 1977. "CARRIED" Fall and The Schedule of fees for Fall and Winter Programs of the Winter Fees Recreation Lepartment was presented. for Recreation Programs. Resolution #CS -211-77 Moved by Con. Holliday Renewal of THAT it be recommended to Council that the lease between the Lease re Town and Mutt Enterprises Limited, Milani & Milani Holdings Park Ltd. and Rye Investments Limited regarding use of lands being part of Lot 15, Con. 1, former Township of Darlington for the use of a Park, be renewed one year from the date of signing. "CARRIED" Resolution #CS -215-77 Moved by Con. Allin, seconded by Con. Holliday Wading Pool LoidElgin THAT the wading pool at Lord Elgin Park be taken out and the Park g:ound levelled. Holliday Arena Closings Thanksgiving THAT the Arenas at Bowmanville and Darlington Sports Centre Day be closed on Thanksgiving Day as recommended by the Arena Manager, Mr. Neads.
