Committee held on July 4, 1977 at 1:15 p.m. in
the Committee Room of the Bowmanville Town Hall

Moved by Councillor Holliday, seconded by Con. Gray
Adoption THAT the minutes of the meeting of June 20th, 1977 be adopted
-f Minutes as read.

Agreement The Draft Agreement between the Northumberland and Newcastle Board
and School Board of Education and the Town of Newcastle regarding the proposed
Swimming re Swimming Pool and Recreation complex at the Bowmanville High School

Pool was discussed at length. Several charges and areas of concern were
noted.

THAT the revised Agreement be reviewed by the Community Services
Committee, the Director of Parks and Recreation and the Town
Solicitor and a copy of the Agreement be sent to the Solicitor
in advance of the meeting.

Experience THAT the letter from the Ministry of Culture and Recreation re
77 Programme Experience 77 - Programme 44C, addressed to Mrs. Marie Hubbard,
44C be received for information and a copy forwarded to the Museum
Board.

Cream of THAT it be recommended to Council that a letter be sent to the
Barley Local Architecutural Conservation Committee requesting that they
Mill investigate the possibility of a Heritage Designation of the
Cream of Barley Mill.

THAT the Secretary bring to the attention of the Cemetery Manager
that the Babyland plots in the Bowmanville Cemetery need to be
edged and trimmed.
