Fanning, Tony Brand met with Earl iolff, Principal of the Bowmanville High School and Mr. Maurice Prout of the School Board. This was a Meeting regarding use of the High School Pottery Kilns. Councillor Cowman 7. Recreation Course -Student - Mr. Larry Devitt of Bowmanville in his second year at Fanshaw College, London and has c-osen Newcastle to do his field work in the month of Fehruary. He will work with this Department at no cost to the Town. T. K. Fanning. 8, Waverly Gardens ssociation: With reference to the park on Waverly Road regarding assisting in the planning of the Park. It would be appreciated if they would take an active part. Same situation for Martin Road. T. A, Fanning 9. Fee structure -Tots Skating: Mrs. E. Murdock of 62 Parkway Cresent, Bowmanville called Councillor Cowman regarding fee structure on Tots Skating. I called Mrs. Murdock and explained to her that it was .25¢ from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. period and she had taken him down at 4:00 p,m. with her two daughters and had to pay .75¢. T. n. TO OU.aL IFY - To qualify for a position on the Newcastle Playgrounds an applicant with less than two year's previous experience in Play- ground work must either (a) successfully complete the course or (b) pass a practical test and a written test on a date to be decided early in tapril. Those who are selected for Playground work, will attend a staff meeting in June prior to the opening:.af playgrounds. .*Jl appli6antg must attend all sessions of the course. No numeration will be.paid for these Training Sessions, Emplyees Ta.st work the seven weeks. No weeks for time off. 3. PLiYGROUND DATES & TIMES_ - Playground will operate five days a week, Monday through Friday for seven weeks. Starting on July 5th and finishing on Friday, August 20th. Playground hours are 9-30 to 12.00 noon - 1-30 to 4.30 p.m. 4. GARY SCi>LE s The Salary scale will be drawn as per Department of Labour Laws. 5.
