Ann Cowman, Chairman Con. D. W. Allin, Member Con. K. E. Lyall, Member Deputy Clerk, G. Gray, Secretary Absent: Mayor G. B. Rickard, Member Resolution #CS -13-76 Moved by Con. Lyall, seconded by Con. Allin Adoption THAT the minutes of meeting held on January 5, 1976 of be adopted. Minutes "CARRIED" The Director of Recreation, Mr. Fanning, and Mr. Roy Needs Arena Manager attended the meeting at this point. Resolution #CS -14-76 Moved by Con. Lyall, seconded by Con. Allin Memberships THAT it be recommended to Council that the following Canadian Parks memberships be renewed for 1976: Recreation Assoc. and Ontario Canadian Parks and Recreation Association - $30.00 Municipal Ontario Municipal Recreation Association - $35.00 Recreation Association "CARRIED" Resolution #CS -15-76 Moved by Con. Lyall, seconded by Con. Allin Space at THAT they concur with the Recreation Director's recommendation Visual that the Recreation Department continue to use the space at Ants the Visual Arts Centre until other steps are taken. Centre "CARRIED" Mr. Bill Humber and Mr. Ron Peduck were present to explain to the Committee the program being undertaken by the Visual Arts Association in connection with the Cultural Olympic Program for Olympic Year. They outlined their plans for the "Newcastle Game" and said that they would keep the Community Services Committee informed of further events. Allin Ads re THAT the proposed ads regarding sale of 1976 dog tags 1976 and licences for publication in the 4 local papers and Dog one for inclusion with the Interim Tax Bill be approved. Allin Orono THAT Totten Sims Hubicki be contacted regarding the cost Community of the Proposal for a Feasibility Study, Orono Community Centre Centre as outlined in his letter of January 19, 1976. Proposal "CARRIED" Resolution #CS -19-76 Moved by Con. Lyall, seconded by Con. Allin Clarke THAT the question of the Clarke Cemetery Board be tabled Cemetery until the next meeting for more information. Board "CARRIED" Resolution #CS -20-76 Moved by Con. Lyall, seconded by Con. Allin Collis THAT the Collis Electric estimate for work at the Visual Electric Arts Centre be tabled for future action and more information. Estimate "CARRIED" Resolution CICS -18-76 Moved by Con. Lyall, seconded by Con. Allin Public THAT a Public Meeting be held in the Village of Newcastle Meeting re on Monday, February 16, 1976 for the purpose of electing two Newcastle members to the Newcastle Comnunity Hall Board and that the umunity Hall meeting be advertised in the Newcastle Reporter. ird "CARRIED" Resolution #CS -19-76 Moved by Con. Lyall Volunteer THAT it be recommended to Council that they concur with Fireman the request of Fire Chief Hayman to accept the application Application of Robert A. Smith as a Volunteer Fireman. "CARRIED" Resolution TICS -22-76 Moved by Con. Lyall, seconded by Con. Cowman Bell THAT it be recommended to Council that Bell Canada be contacted Canada with regard to realigning their telephone districts to Telephone recognize the Town of Newcastle Boundaries. Districts "CARRIED" Resolution #CS -23-76 Moved by Con. Lyall, seconded by Con. Allin THAT the meeting adjourn at 9 p.m. "CARRIED"
