Minutes of a meeting of the Community Services
Committee held in the Bowmanville Committee
Room on Monday, July 7th, 1975 at 1:00 p.m.
Present were:

Moved by Con. Lyall, seconded by Con. Cowman,
THAT the minutes of meeting held on June 16th, 1975 be
approved as printed.

Animal The Animal Control Officer was present to report to
Control the Committee accompanied by Mr. Eric Gareau of Canadian
re Motorola Electronics Company. Mr. Gareau spoke to the
Communication Committee with regards to 2 -Way Radio Communication
System System for the Animal Control Department.

THAT Mr. Gareau submit a written recommendation to this
Committee of his professional opinion to add two additional
stations into the present services of the Town of Newcastle.

Kennel THAT By -Law No, 74-29 be amended to the effect that a

THAT Sections 5(2) and 5(5) under the Dog Licencing and
Live Stock and Poultry Protection Act regarding Dog Tags
be included into By -Law No. 74-29 with a $10.00 out of Court fine
to anyone not coupling with this Section,

proceeded with as soon as possible and that an advertisement
be placed in the local papers for four students to carry

Mr. J. Hayman, Area Fire Chief, was present along with
Mr. Don Rudman of Bell Canada.
Changing of Mr. Rudman addressed the Committee regarding changing the
Village of Fire Hall Telephone Number in the Village of Newcastle.

Volunteer THAT this Committee concurs with the recommendation of the
Firemen Area Fire Chief in replacing two firemen in Orono Fire
Hall No. 3 Hall No. 3 with Jim Partner and David Forrester,

(1) miles of their Fire Station,

Township THAT a letter be sent to the Township of Manvers advising
of Manvers them that there will be no charge for the Town of Newcastle
Accident services with regards to the attempted rescue of a man
from a well, but that they reimburse Mr. T. Veenhof $50.00
for his services.

Hampton THAT the Town Clerk be advised to supply the necessary
Park information as requested by the Central Lake Ontario
Lands Conservation Authority in their letter dated April 22nd, 1975
regarding Hampton Park Lands, and furthermore, that the
Mayor be the Municipal Official who will be consulting with
the Authority on this transfer,

Hampton THAT it is the recommendation of this Committee that
Park in response to Central Lake Ontario Conservation Authority's
Lands letter dated June 6th, 1975 regarding Hampton Park, that
the Park be used as a more passive use rather than recreational
use.

Swimming Supplementary Budget and hire Staff for the Village of
Pool Newcastle Swimming Pool.

Hall progress of the Tyrone Hall.
