THAT the fee for Dog Licences be $7.00 per dog.

THAT dog licences be sold in the Hampton Municipal Office,
the Bowmanville Municipal Office and a place of business
in Newcastle and Orono and that the place of business selling
the licences get 10% of the fees collected.

THAT the Animal Control By -Law 74-29 be amended as follows:
Sec. 1. (3) definition of "running at large" be changed
to "a dog shall be deemed to be running at large when found
in any place other than the premises of the owner of the dog
and not under the control of any person".
Sec. 2. (I) fees for licences be $7.00 per dog.
Sec. 2. (3) be deleted.
Sec. 2. (5) "15th of February" be changed to "15th of March".

THAT the letter from the Newcastle Recreation Committee
advising that Mrs. Fred Hawes was the Treasurer of the
Village Recreation Committee, be received for information.

THAT the letter from the Ontario Humane Society regarding
Animal Control, be received for information.

THAT Councillors Entwisle and Lyall be delegated as Council
representatives on the Committee for the Swimming Pool in
the former Village of Newcastle, as requested by the
Newcastle Lions Club.

Councillor H. B. Tink was appointed Vice -Chairman of the
Community Services Committee.

the cost of repairing the heating cable under the Ramp
from the Fire Hall.

be acknowledged and sent to the Secretary of the Browns
Association and Ontario Hydro be informed to send future

Durham Regional THAT the letter from the Durham Regional Health Unit
Health Unit re be received for information and copies be sent to the
anti -rabies Animal Control Officers, Health of Animals Branch and
vaccine. local Veterinarians.

Visual Arts The Chairman was asked to bring in a report explaining what
Centre arrangements had been made with the Visual Arts Committee
regarding the use of the Drop -In -Centre as a Visual Arts
Centre.

Plans for THAT the Chairman and Councillor Tink take the plans for the
Renovations renovations at the Browns School to the Building Department
at Browns and if the plans are satisfactory, arrange for the calling
School of Tenders.

Development of THAT it be recommended to Council that they embark on a
Parks in program of developing Parks in the Municipality and a
Municipality portion of the money collected for lot levies be used
for that purpose.
