HomeMy WebLinkAbout1975-08-25 Report4 Report No. 3 Mayor Rickard and Members of Council: The following recommendations to Council were made at a meeting of the Committee of the Whole held in the Bowmanville Committee Room on Monday, August 25th, 1975 at 9:00 a.m.:- 1. Mr. & Mrs. Mantle - Lease of Town Owned Land THAT the Clerk's Report of having prepared a lease to rent Lot 19 on the West Beach to Mr. & Mrs. Mantle, be received for information and concurred with. 2. Consumers Gas Company Franchise Agreement V THAT the Franchise Agreement with Consumers Gas Company and the Solicitor's letter be referred to Council for consideration without recommendation. 3. Plumbing Association Conference THAT the Chief Building Inspector's request that Mr. W. Kilpatrick attend the Annual Plumbing Association Conference in Oshawa September 15th - 17th, 1975, be approved. 4. Banks Construction Second Storey Addition THAT the Chief Building Inspector be instructed to issue a permit for a second storey addition for the Shopping Plaza on Highway 2, Lot 35, Concession 2 "(Darlington) and that the matter of the parking requirements in this type of building be referred to the Planning Advisory Committee for review of the zoning by-law. 5. Committee of Adjustment Appeal to O.M.B. - Milford THAT the Town Solicitor and Mr. Howden be authorised to attend the Ontario Municipal Board Hearing on September 2nd, 1975 regarding Robert and Elizabeth Milford'c appeal for a Minor Variance to the Committee of Adjustment. 6. D. Zachanowich 1975 Vacation THAT it be recommended to Council that David Zachanowich be allowed to carry forward one week of his 1975 holidays to 1976. 7. Mr. Godin - Kennel Licence THAT no action be taken with regard to Mr. Godin's request for a Kennel Licence as the location does not conform to Zoning regulations. 8. O.M.B. Hearing re Madsen THAT the Planner be authorised to represent the Town at the Ontario Municipal Board G' Hearing on September 10th re Otto Madsen appeal against a decision of the Land cl III . Division Committee. Continued..... 1. Report No. 3 - 2 - 9. Ontario Municipal Board re Henry J. Sissons THAT no action be taken with regard to the Regionts appeal against a decision of the Land Division Committee in relation to Henry J. Sissons. 10. Minister of Energy re Land Expropriation of Darlington Generating Station 6 THAT the letter dated August 7th, 1975 from the Minister of Energy regarding the expropriation of land for the proposed Darlington Generating Station be received for information and the cheque for $240.00 allowed costs from Ontario Hydro be credited to legal expenses. 11. Ministry of Transportation and Communications re School Buses THAT the letter dated August 8th, 1975 from the Ministry of Transportation and Communications regarding school bus loading zones, be received for information and a copy sent to Mr. Thom, Director of Education. 12. Orono Hydro Building THAT Mr. Ferguson be asked to prepare specifications for calling tenders or getting quotations for the Orono Hydro building repairs and also the rent be reviewed. 13. Piersma Separation THAT Mr. McNeely's letter of August 11th, 1975 regarding oeverance for Walter Piersma be concurred with. 14. Thomas C. Stephenson - Land Separation THAT Dr. Michael's letter dated August 21st, 1975 regarding Thomas C. Stephenson appeal against the decision of the Land Division Committee be received for information.
