Minutes of a meeting of the Committee of the Whole held on March 10, 1975 in the Committee Room of the Bowmanville Town Hall at 1:00 p.m. Roll Call All members of the Committee were present with the exception of Mayor Rickard who was on vacation. Resolution #CW -80-75 Adoption Moved by Con. Hobbs, seconded by Con. Allin of Minutes THAT the minutes of meetings held on February 24th and February 28th, 1975, be adopted. "CARRIED" Donald Ransberry Mr. George L. Smith, Solicitor appeared on behalf of Building Mr. Ransberry relative to obtaining a building permit Permit to build a residence on his father's farm. Resolution #CW -81-75 Moved by Con. Wearn, seconded by Con. Hobbs THAT the matter be tabled pending further information from Mr. Smith. "CARRIED" Mr. Amyott Mr. Amyott appeared relative to the location of his Company in the Town of Newcastle Resolution #CW -82-75 Moved by Con. Entwisle, seconded by Con. Allin THAT when Mr. Amyott applies for a rezoning of his property on the correct form, Mr. McNeely be advised. "CARRIED" Resolution #CW -83-75 Moved by Con. Entwisle, seconded by Con. Wearn Questionnaire re Municipal THAT the Town Clerk complete form as indicated by the Elections. Committee. "CARRIED11 Resolution #CW -85-75 Moved by Con. Allin, seconded by Con. Wearn THAT the Town Clerk write to the Ministry of Treasury Election Expenses Economics and Intergovernmental Affairs regarding the cost of the School Board Election held last December. "CARRIED" Resolution #CW -86-75 Moved by Con. Hobbs, seconded by Con. Tink Consumers THAT the matter be placed on the Agenda for the next Gas. Co. meeting and that Council members be given copies of the Franchise proposed agreement with the Town Solicitor's comments, and that representatives of the Company be invited to attend the meeting. Entwisle Leland THAT Mr. Howden's report dated February 25, 1975 Payne regarding the Region's appeal against Leland Paynes Land land severance be referred to the Planning Advisory Severance. Allin Deer THAT Council concur with the proposal for a three day Hunting deer hunting season as contained in a letter dated Season February 19, 1975 from the Ministry of Natural Resources. "CARRIED" Resolution #CW -90 - Moved by Con. Wearn, seconded by Con. Hobbs Game THAT the minutes of the Special meeting of the Game Commission Commission held at Hampton on January 30, 1975, be received for information. "CARRIED" Bowmanville The Town Clerk made a verbal report on a recent break Town Hall and entry to the Bowmanville Town Hall when some $500. Break and worth of damage was caused but apparently nothing stolen. Entry Resolution #CW -91-75 Moved by Con. Tink, seconded by Con. Entwisle THAT the Mayor and Clerk be authorized to take whatever steps are necessary with regard to the basement windows, as soon as possible. "CARRIED" Resolution #CW -92-75 Moved by Con. Entwisle, seconded by Con. -link Lovers THAT the Town Solicitor be requested to represent the Lane Town at the O.M.B. Hearing on April 10, 1975, regarding Land the Town's objections to the granting of a land severance Severance on Lovers Lane and that the people who objected be advised of the Hearing. Hearing on April 7, 1975 Hearing regarding Beat Nicklaus appeal against decision of land B. Nicklaus Division Committee be referred to the Planning Advisory Committee for report. Hearing on April 8, 1975, Hearing regarding the Region's appeal against a land severance W. J. Bragg granted to W. J. Bragg be referred to the Planning Advisory Committee for a report. THAT Councillor Entwisle's report on the O.H.A.P. Studies Studies be endorsed and forwarded to Council for implementation. "CARRIED" Resolution #CW -100-75 Moved by Con. Wearn, seconded by Con. Hobbs THAT a meeting be requested with the Ministry of Housing the Mayor and Chairman of the Planning Advisory Committee to further explore the position with regard to O.H.A.P.
