Minutes of a meeting of the Committee of the
Whole held in the Committee Room in Dowmanville
Town Hall at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 15th,
1974.

Moved by Con. Hobbs, seconded by Con. Wearn.
THAT the Mayor make an appointment with the Chairman
of the Ontario Municipal Board for a delegation to
request an additional amount of $300,000 for the
construction of the new arena proposed by the
former Council of the Township of Darlington and
that the Clerk send a letter of explanation to the
Board.

THAT the ClerIk be requested to instruct the Architect
to call tenders imraediatelt, for the construction of the
Arena.

Town THAT Mr. George F. Howden be engaged as Planner at a
Planner salary in the $13,000 per annum range, to commence
duties as soon as possible.
