HomeMy WebLinkAbout1977-02-25Report Mayor Rickard and Members of Couneil The following recommendations to Council were made at a special meeting of the Planning AAm4nistration Committee held at 9:30 p.m. on Friday, February 25, 1977. 1. That a Task Force be established comprising the following personnel; A7.1 Members of the Planning Admir4otration Committee, Two representatives from the C.A.C.A., One representative from the Region's Planning and Development Dept., One representative from the Region's Public Works Dept., One representative from the Town's Pablic Works Dept., One representative from the Town's Planning Depte, or the Town's Planning Consultant*and further that Mr. Wm. Manson, Ontario Housing/ Action Program, act as contact man with the Ministry of Housing. 2. That the matter of placing development funds (lot levies) into a special account, be referred to the Chairman for clarification with the Town Solicitor. Bobier, President of Courtice & Area Citizens Assooiatien Mrs. A.Cowman, Chairman of the Development Committee of C.A.C.A. Mr, Bobier, in addressing the Committee, expressed the concerns of the C.A.C.A. with respect to the possible effects of future development on the existing home owners in the Courtice Area. In summarizing his remarks, he requested as follows - (1) That a Task Force be established to negotiate ways and mesh of avoiding hardships and misunderstandings relating to future development in the Courtice Area. Representatives of the C.A.C.A., The Province, the Region and the Town to be included in the Task Force. (2) That all funds generated by development in the Courtice Area be placed in a special account until such time as the impact on the Courtice Area has been evaluated.
