UREPORT TO THE COUNCIL MEETING OF JULY 11 1983
Mayor Rickard and Members of Council: -
The following recommendations to Council were made at a meeting of
the Audit Committee held on Wednesday, June 29 1983:
1. 1982 Financial Statement
THAT the 1982 Financial Statement be adopted as presented.
2. Constructive Service Letter
THAT the Constructive Service letter, dated June 23 1983
from Deloitte Haskins and Sells, Chartered Accountants, be
received for information and referred to Staff for a report
back to Committee.
3. 1982 Audit and Accounting Fees
THAT the 1982 Audit and Accounting Fees be approved.

Roll Call Present were: Councillor I. M. Hobbs, Chairman
Councillor Ann Cowman, at 2:15 p.m.
Councillor Diane Hamre
Councillor Marie Hubbard
Mayor G. B. Rickard

Treasurer, K. Campbell
Deputy Treasurer, J. Blanchard

Mayor Rickard called the meeting to order.
Moved by Councillor Hubbard
Seconded by Councillor Hamre
Composition THAT the G.P.A. Committee constitute the Audit Committee
and Chairman and the Chairman of the G.P.A. Committee, at the time of
of Committee the meeting, be the Chairman of this Committee.
"CARRIED"
Councillor Hobbs, present Chairman of the G.P.A. Committee,
took the Chair.
Moved by Mayor Rickard
Seconded by Councillor Hubbard
Agenda THAT Committee deal with the Agenda as printed.

Mr. B. Chandler presented the 1982 Financial Statements
by Deloitte Haskins and Sells.

THAT the 1982 Financial Statement be adopted as presented.

THAT the Constructive Service Letter, dated June 23 1983,
from Deloitte Haskins and Sells, Chartered Accountants,
be received for information.

THAT the previous resolution be amended by adding
"and referred to Staff for a report back to Committee.

There was a discussion of the 1982 Audit and Accounting Fees.

THAT the meeting be open.

THAT the 1982 audit and accounting fees, be approved.
