Woodyard, Member Resolution #LB -211-77 Moved by Mayor Rickard, seconded by Con. Holliday Adoption THAT the minutes of meeting of September 12, 1977 be of Minutes adopted as read. "CARRIED" Liquor The Town Clcrk reported on the issuance of a Liguor Licence Licence to Bowmanville Restaurant, 231 King Street East, Bowmanville. Bowmanville Restaurant Resolution #Lb -212-77 Moved by Mayor Rickard, seconded by Con. Holliday THAT the verbal comments of the Town Clerk be noted and the Town has no objection to a L�quor Licence at 231 King Street East, Bowmanville. "CARRIED" Resolution #LB -213-77 Moved by Mayor Rickard, seconded by Con. Holliday Witness THAT the matter of Witness Fees be referred to the Town Fees Clerk to clarify with the Town Solicitor. "CARRIED" Legislation and By-laws Committee - 2 - September 26, 1977 Resolution #LB -214-77 Moved by Mayor Rickard, seconded by Con. Holliday Storm and Ross THAT the letter from Storm and Ross, re Permission for re permission Mr. Kazdan to live in a trailer during construction of to live in a new home be referred to the Chief Building Inspector trailer for to liaise with the Clerk and it be recommended to Council Mr. Kazdan that this Committee has no objection providing a suitable agreement is arranged. Holliday School Bus THAT a By-law be prepared to amend the By-law 76-34 Loading Zone designating certain portions of highways within the Elgin Street Town of Newcastle as School Bus Loading Zones. "CARRIED" Resolution #LB -217-77 Moved by Mayor Rickard, seconded by Con. Holliday By -Law THAT the By-law Enforcement Officer's duties be Enforcement transferred to the jurisdiction of the Chief Officer Building Inspector. "CARRIED" Resolution #LB -218-77 Moved by Mayor Rickard, seconded by Con. Holliday O.M.B. THAT the Notice of O.M.B. Hearing re Marchant and Hearing Abbott be referred to the Planning Administration re Marchant Committee meeting of September 30, 1977. & Abbott. "CARRIED" Resolution #LB -215-77 Moved by Mayor Rickard, seconded by Con. Holliday SEAP Darlington THAT SEAP Darlington be advised that the Legislation Walk Through and By-laws Committee is recommending to Council that Town October 1, they have no objection to the Walk Through Town on October 1977 1, 1977, under the conditions outlined in their letter of September 21, 1977. "CARRIED" LegivIation and By-laws Committee - 3 - September 26, 1977 Garbage Mr. J. Durham, Director of Public Works and Con. By-law R. B. Taylor spoke to the Committee regarding By-law Town of 1966 of the Town of Bowmanville relative to Garbk•ge Bowmanville Resolution #LB -219-77 Moved by Mayor Rickard, seconded by Con. Holliday THAT it be recommended to Council that a new by-law be drafted by the Director of Public Works, By-law Enforcement Department and the Clerk's Department. "CARRIED" Resolution #LB -220-77 Moved by Mayor Rickard, seconded by Con. Holliday Zoning Amendment THAT the by-law to amend By-law 2111 of the former By-law Township of Darlington (County Chrysler) be forwarded (County Chrysler) to Council for approval. "CARRIED" Resolution #LB -221-77 Moved by Mayor Rickard, seconded by Con. Holliday Zoning Amendment THAT the Town Planner's Report that by-law to amend By-law By-law 1653, Township of Clarke is not available at (Vanhaverbeke) this time be received and the Planning Department take the necessary action to speed up this action and report back to the next meeting. "CARRIED" Eldorado Mr. Phil Levine of the IBI Group and Mr. John Willms, Nuclear Environmental Solicitor were present to discuss the Eldorado Nuclear Assessment Environmental Assessment Panel Hearings. Panel Hearings Resolution #LB -222-77 Moved by Mayor Ricakrd, seconded by Con. Holliday THAT all members of Council be invited to participate in this discussion. "CARRIED" Legislation and By-laws Committee - 4 - September 26, 1977 Mr. Levine and Mr. Wlllms discussed the upcoming Hearing and pointed out the areas which they felt the Town L'•�uld be concerned about. They gave upset figures on the cost of their services. Special Mayor Rickard called a Special Council Meeting for Council 4:30 p.m. September 26, 1977, to make a decision on Meeting how the Town will be represented and who will represent the Town at the Hearing.
