Call to Order Chairperson André O’Bumsawin called the meeting to order at 7:00pm 2. Disclosures of Pecuniary Interest There were no pecuniary interests stated for this meeting 3. The explanation for the proposed variance was similar to what was outlined in the report prepared for this application. There were no questions from the Committee or members of the public in objection or support. The application is approved to permit the construction of linked dwellings in the “Urban Residential Type One (R1)” zone.” “Carried” 3.2A2017-0008Applicant/Owner:Carlos and Olga Konowalczuk 3238 Tooley Road, Courtice Part Lot 33, Concession 3, Former Township of Darlington Applicants, Carlos and Olga Konowalczuk made a verbal presentation to the Committee regarding the application.The explanation for the proposed variance was similar to what was outlined in the report prepared for this application. Vice chairperson André O’Bumsawin asked the applicant’s if they were aware that the Municipality has imposed a condition to remove the existing shipping container fromthe property within 6 months of the hearing date. Mr. Konowalczuk expressed no concerns with the removal ofthe shipping container. There were no questions from the Committee or members of the public in objection or support. Design Ltd/Brent Smith Owner: Lindvest Properties (Clarington) Limited Part Lots 29 and 3013, Concession 2 Former Township of Clarke Applicant, Brent Smithmade a verbal presentation to the Committee regarding the applications. The explanation forthe proposed variances weresimilar to what was outlined in the report prepared for these applications. A member of the public, Mariano Waiworkwas present to discuss application A2017- 0010 (42 Noden Crescent). She and her family have purchased the lot directly beside the subject propertyand wanted to understand if there would be any the impacts on their property.Hermain concerns related to whether or not the side yard setbacks will bedecreased. Planner, Amanda Watsonexplained that the side yard setbacks are not being decreased through this application. The setbacks, as permitted within the “R2-44” zone will be conformed to. It was further explained that the current zoningprovisionswould not allow this 12 metre frontage lot to have a two car garage, therefore, the application has been made toallow the dwelling model witha two car garage. Mrs. Waiwork had no further concerns or questions regarding the application.She further stated that sheis not in objection to this application. There were no questions from the Committee and no further members of the public in objection or support. Both Applications were approved unanimously by the Committee.
