Chairperson Todd Taylor called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm
2. Disclosures of Pecuniary Interest
There were no pecuniary interests stated for this meeting
3. Applications:
3.1 A2016-0060 4246551 Canada Inc.

Part of Lot 13, Concession BF
Former Townshia of Darlinaton
Agent for the Owner, David McKay, made a verbal presentation to the Committee
regarding the application. The explanation for the proposed variance was similar to what
was outlined in the report prepared for this application.
Member Shelley Pohjola asked Planner in attendance, Paul Wirch, if they believed there
would be no adverse impact and Mr. Wirch responded that there were no adverse
impacts expected.
There were no further questions from the Committee or members of the public in
objection or support.
Moved by Andre O'Bumsawin seconded by John Bate.
"Based on our review of the application and the comments submitted, the application is
deemed minor in nature, meets the intent of the Official Plan and Zoning By-law and will
not be detrimental to the character of the neighbourhood.
The application is APPROVED to permit retail/commercial establishments in addition to
all other permitted uses in the "Special Purpose Commercial (C5)"."

Former Township of Darlington
Agent for the Owner, Martin Topolie, made a verbal presentation to the Committee
regarding the application. The explanation for the proposed variance was similar to what
was outlined in the report prepared for this application.
Member, Shelley Pohjola, asked the Mr. Topolie if the structure was fully built and Mr.
Topolie responded that the framing was built but the decking and cabin needed to be
installed. He also noted in response to a question from Ms. Pohjola that there was an
Order to Comply associated with the structure, that a building permit had been obtained
and that no further construction had occurred since the Order was made.
There were no questions from the Committee or members of the public in objection or
support.
Moved by Andre O'Bumsawin seconded by Jim Vinson.
"Based on our review of the application and the comments submitted, the application is
deemed minor in nature, meets the intent of the Official Plan and Zoning By-law and will
not be detrimental to the character of the neighbourhood.
The application is APPROVED to permit an existing playground/deck by reducing the
minimum required setback from the rear property line from 1.2 metres to 0.60 metres
and by increasing the maximum permitted height for accessory structures from 4.5
metres to 5.69 metres."

4. Adoption of Minutes of Previous Meeting
Moved by Shelley Pohjola., seconded by James Vinson.
"That the minutes of the regular meeting of the Committee of Adjustment, held on
September 15, 2016 be approved."

Appeal date for the foregoing applications is October 19, 2016
Next Meeting of the Committee of Adjustment is October 13, 2016
