Chairperson Paul Allore called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM.

Applicant Marion Giedroc made a verbal presentation to the Committee regarding the
application. The explanation for the proposed variance was similar to what was outlined
in the report prepared for this application.

building by increasing the maximum permitted total floor area for all

the neighbourhood.

intent of the Official Plan and Zoning By-law, is minor in nature and is
not detrimental to the neighbourhood."

Fernando Vizza, agent for the applicant, made a verbal presentation to the Committee
regarding the application. The explanation for the proposed variance was similar to what
was outlined in the report prepared for this application.
Committee member Todd Taylor clarified if the applicant was aware and okay with the
recommended condition to approval outlined in the staff report and Mr. Vizza stated that
he was.
No one spoke in opposition to the application.

"To approve the application to permit an increase in the maximum
permitted floor area for all accessory structures from 60 square metres
to 78 square metres, subject to the condition that the owner remove
the three existing sheds from the property within six months of the date
of the Committee of Adjustment (November 12, 2016), as it meets the
intent of the Official Plan and Zoning By-law, is minor in nature and is
not detrimental to the neighbourhood."

Lynette Brett, the applicant, made a verbal presentation to the Committee regarding the
application. The explanation for the proposed variance was similar to what was outlined
in the report prepared for this application.
Committee member Todd Taylor noted that the proposed deck projection figures in the
report were different from those mentioned by the applicant in the verbal description of
the project. Staff member David Addington stated that staff had adjusted the applicant's
proposed deck projection to accurately reflect what was on the drawings presented by
the applicant in the application for minor variance as there was an error in what the

applicant had initially applied for. The Committee member was satisfied with this
explanation.
No one spoke in opposition to the application.
Moved by Jim Vinson, seconded by John Bate.
"To approve the application to permit the construction of a deck by
increasing the maximum permitted deck projection into the required
rear yard setback from 1.5 metres to 2.65 metres and by increasing
the maximum lot coverage from 45% to 46.5%."

David Penney, the applicant, made a verbal presentation to the Committee regarding the
application. The explanation for the proposed variance was similar to what was outlined
in the report prepared for this application.

Moved by Todd Taylor, seconded by Andre O'Bumsawin.
"To approve the application to permit the construction of an addition to
a single -detached dwelling by reducing the minimum required rear
yard setback from 7.5 metres to 7.2 metres and to permit the
construction of a carport by reducing the minimum required side yard
setback from 1.2 metres to 0.6 metres as it meets the intent of the
Official Plan and Zoning By-law, is minor in nature and is not
detrimental to the neighbourhood."

4 Adoption of Minutes of Previous Meeting
Moved by Todd Taylor, seconded by Andre O'Bumsawin.
That the minutes of the regular meeting of the Committee of Adjustment, held on
January 21, 2016, be approved.

Appeal date for the foregoing applications is June 1, 2016
