"CARR! ED"
Derek Barnett, Chairman, Clarke Museum & Archives, Box 558,
Orono, LOB 1MO, presented a written proposal for an expansion
to the Kirby Schoolhouse. The addition will cost approximately
$200,000.00. Various Government Grants could total $100,000.
The Board will raise $35,000.00, and hopes the Town will pay the
balance. To justify the Town's expenditure the Board is of the
opinion, that $4,000.00 a year would be saved in storage charges.
Approximately $35,000.00 is required to bring the old building
up to a decent standard. The Board would like the Town to
make a decision as to which course to take.
Resolution #C-244-87
Moved by Councillor Cowman, seconded by Councillor McKnight
