ED" Derek Barnett, Chairman, Clarke Museum & Archives, Box 558, Orono, LOB 1MO, presented a written proposal for an expansion to the Kirby Schoolhouse. The addition will cost approximately $200,000.00. Various Government Grants could total $100,000. The Board will raise $35,000.00, and hopes the Town will pay the balance. To justify the Town's expenditure the Board is of the opinion, that $4,000.00 a year would be saved in storage charges. Approximately $35,000.00 is required to bring the old building up to a decent standard. The Board would like the Town to make a decision as to which course to take.
