Recommendations:
It is respectfully recommended that the General Purpose and Administration Committee
recommend to Council the following:
1. THAT Report FND-006-03 be received;
2. THAT in accordance with provision of Chapter M-45, Section 79 (1) of the
Municipal Act, R.S.O. 1990, the Treasurer reports the cash position of the
Municipality of Clarington for the fourth quarter of the year 2002, as shown on the
attached schedule; and
3. THAT Part "A" of the expenditures for the fourth quarter of the year be confirmed.

BACKGROUND AND COMMENT:
The attached schedules indicate the Corporation of the Municipality of Clarington's cash
transactions for the fourth quarter of 2002, the cash investment position, the taxes receivable
position, statistical information and transit revenue and expenditure for the month ending
December 31, 2002 and the comparative information for the month ending December 31, 2001.
The attached schedules for the development charges information is for the months of October,
November and December 2002.
