BY-LAW NUMBER 2000- 104
being a By-law to amend By-law 84-63, the Comprehensive By-law for the
Corporation of the Municipality of Clarington.
WHEREAS the Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of Clarington deems it advisable to amend By-law 84-
63, as amended, of the Corporation of the former Town of Newcastle in accordance with application DEV 95-080 to
permit the development of a technical school for truck driver training with outside storage of commercial motor
vehicles required for instructional purposes.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of Clarington
enacts as follows:
1. Section 23.3 "SPECIAL EXCEPTIONS—LIGHT INDUSTRIAL(MI)ZONE"is hereby amended by adding
a new Subsection 23.3.8 as follows:
"23.3.8 LIGHT INDUSTRIAL EXCEPTION(M1-8)ZONE
Notwithstanding Section 23.1 (b), those lands zoned(Ml-8)on the schedules to this by-law, in addition to the
uses permitted in the Ml zone, may also be used for the outdoor parking or storage of a maximum of three
commercial motor vehicles required for and accessory to a commercial school."
2. Schedule "3" to By-law 84-63, as amended, is hereby further amended by changing the zone designation
from:
"LIGHT INDUSTRIAL(Ml)ZONE"to`LIGHT INDUSTRIAL EXCEPTION(Ml-8)ZONE"as shown on
the attached Schedule"A"hereto.
3. Schedule"A"attached hereto shall form part of this By-law.
4. This By-law shall come into effect on the date of the passing hereof, subject to the provisions of Section 34 of
the Planning Act,R.S.O. 1990.
BY-LAW read a first time this 26 day of June 2000.
BY-LAW read a second time this 26 day of June 2000.
BY-LAW read a third time and finally passed this 26 day of June 2000.
