Subject: MONTHLY FIRE REPORT - FEBRUARY, 1995
Recommendations:
It is respectfully recommended that report FD-4-95 be received for information.
1. BACKGROUND
1.1 Our report covers the month of February, 1995 and will be submitted monthly to
provide Committee with information relevant to this department, in a timely
manner.
2. REPORT
2.1 In February we started Captain G. Brown in the Fire Protection Technology
Course conducted at the Ontario Fire College. This intense course will take four
years to finish.
2.2 Water rescue training, provided by the Canadian Coast Guard was completed by
all full time firefighters in February.
2.3 Clarington Fire Department dispatchers also completed a training session
conducted by Clarington Hydro Commission employees to prepare them for
answering the after hours telephone calls. This service commences on March 1,
1995.

2 -2.4 The department responded to 104 calls in February and recorded total fire loss
at $51,100. Listed below is a breakdown of the calls responded to.
