Hampton, March 5, 1959.
Darlington Township Council met in the Council Chambers on the above date
all Members present, Reeve Nichols presiding.
5974 Loved by Dep. Reeve Rickard and Councillor Trull that the minutes of two
previous meetings be approved as read.
5975 Moved by Councillor Smith and Souncillor Thompson that Road Accounts in the
amount of ,4159.54 be passed for payment as presented.
5976 Moved by Dep. Reeve Rickard and Councillor Trull that general accounts in
the amount of $ 21058.86 be passed for payment as presented.
5977 Moved by Dep. Reeve Rickard and Councillor Trull that telegram from Minister
of Municipal Affairs re flood danger be referred to the Road Supt. for appropiate
action.

5978 Mored by Councillors Smith and rull that the Clerk write to Trans-
Northern Pipe Line Co. to the effect that Council regrets that Company cannot assist
in surfacing road to pumping station as road is now ready and may require more construe-
tion next year.
5979 Moved by Councillors Thompson and Smith that grant of $100.00 be paid
to Salvation Army for 1959.
5980 Moved by Dep. Reeve Rickard and Councillor Smith that Council approve
a Tile Drainage Loan of "`2600.00 to R.B. Brown, subject to the approval
of the Treasurer of Ontario.
5981 Moved by Dep. Reeve Rickard and Councillor Smith that an appropiation of
q1�SL0O.00 be spent on Doug. Barton Road this year.
5982 Moved by Councillors Trull and Smith that Clerk inform Robt. Cook that ,
by the terms of the Zoning By-law, properties in Residential Zones cannot be used for
Commercial purposes.
5983-4-5As per motions attached, a By-law to authorize the licensing of Nursing
Homes was given its several readings and ordered signed, sealed and numbered 2121.
On motion this meeting adjourned to Thursday March 12, at 1.50 P.M.
