The Trillium Equine Complex, located in Orono is holding its 11th Christmas Festival this
year. Staff of the Clarington Animal Shelter have been approached to determine the

various demonstrations and partake of the refreshments which are compliments of the
farm.
Staff of the Animal Shelter are enthusiastic about participating by decorating a panel at
the Shelter which will be transported to the Trillium Equine Complex for the event. The
Christmas panel will feature pictures of pets which have been adopted at the Shelter.

We are extending an invitation to fellow businesses in our community to
participate in our popular Christmas Festival on December 1. This event
attracts 600 to 800 guests to the farm on average.
This year marks our eleventh event welcoming visitors to the farm to
experience Christmas in the stable. It is part of our community service of
goodwill. There is no charge to the publicI or to competitors in our stall
decorating contest.
This season we are bringing back our commercial division in the fabu lous
stall decorating contest. Businesses are encouraged to partake in the
festivities. Each stall design by a company will be identified with a sign
announcing If courtesy of .... /'
The public are given ballots on their arrival to the farm and asked to vote
for their favourite designs. Beautiful satin rosettes are presented to the
Champion and Reserve Champion winners in each division and a Grand
Champion rosette goes to the stall design which receives the most votes
overall.
Media coverage is provided and special events during the afternoon are
planned. Refreshments are compliments of the farm.
Won't you join us in the fun and support your community in celebrating
the holidays.
We would be happy to supply you with stall decorating design guidelines.

. COMMITMENT REQUIRED from all stall decorators to begin
and complete designs! No entry fee is required.
. Categories: Commercial Exhibit, Family/Group Division, Youth
(14 and under) and Adult Division,
. We recommend using panels for stall fronts. These can be made
of any light wood material such as door skins. Hangers that fit
over the stall frame make for ease in hanging. Panels can be
decorated at home in your favourite theme and transported to the
farm for hanging. Finishing touches to accent your design can be
added later. All themes must reflect the holiday season.
. Please limit the amount of staples, nails or other material to mini-
mize damage to stall fronts when affixing items. Use edges of
doors whenever possible.
. Decorators are requested to bring their own decorations, tools
and supplies, including ladders, extension cords, staple guns etc.
. All decorators are asked to keep their work stations clear to traffic
in the barn.
. All stalls must be in place by midnight, November 30th.
. Designs cannot extend into the aisles more than two feet.
. Any electrical wires must be concealed and made inaccessible to
horses for safety reasons.
. Ask the farm if you wish to use natural plants, etc, for your de-
sign. Some plants may be toxic to horses.
. For commercial entries, the farm will supply standard cards iden-
tifying your entry and all stalls will receive numbers identifying
them for the ballot voting sheets.
. Free Pizza Party Friday evening for stall decorators finalizing their
designs and making last minute adjustments.
. Moonlight Preview is open to the public Friday evening for a walk
through to see stall decorators in action. Again you are asked to
keep your work station clear for safety.
. All decorations must be removed within 7 days after the Festival.
. Ribbons are award in each category for Champion and Reserve
Champion designs and a Grand Champion ribbon is presented to
the stall receiving the most votes from the public overall. Hon-
ourable Mention ribbons are also awarded for every stall design.
GOOD LUCK TO ALL ENTRIES/
