Hobbs in the Chair. All members present except Councillor Fice. His Worship the Mayor explained that this meeting had been called to consider the Finance Committee's report and Budget for the year 1964. t. Finance Committee Report: Moved by Deputy-Reeve Stevens, seconded by Reeve Little. TH"T the. report of the Finance Committee dated IfBrch 12th and 17th, 1964 be received and adopted. CARIUED II BY -LAvvS : Moved by Con. Chant, seconded by Con. Leslie. THAT leave be granted to bring in the following by-laws: 1. A by-law to provide for certain exemptions for land assessed in parcels of not less than five acres as provided in Sect ion 37, of the ",ssessment ,lct. 2. A by-law to govern and regulate the Finances of the Town of Bowmanville for the fiscal year ending December 31st, 1964. CARdIED Moved by Con. Leslie, seconded by Con. Hooper. THAT the by-laws be read a first time referred to Council in Committee of the Whole and read a second time I~yor in the Chair. C;lRilIED Moved by Con. Hooper, seconded by Con. Hughes. THAT we rise and report successful second reading of the by-laws in Commi tt ee of the \{hole. CARClIED Moved by Con. Hughes, seconded by Con. Hooper. THAT the report of Council in Committee of the Whole on the by-laws be received and adopted the same be now read a third, time, engrossed, signed by the Mayor and Clerk, sealed and numbered as follows: 1.
