THAT the minutes of the regular meeting of Council, held on December 5, 1967, be approved as printed. ltCARRIED" Resolution #C-464 Moved by Deputy Reeve Fice, seconded by Con. Rundle. Centennial THAT correspondence with regard to Centemlial Medals be Medals - received and filed. Correspondence Centennial Medal - Nominations Ontario Housing Corporation "1.mTION LOST" Resolution #C-465 Moved by Con. Hughes, seconded by Con. Oke. THAT the following persons be nominated to receive a Centennial Medal: fJlayor Ivan 1J1. Hobbs W. Ross Strike, Q.C. "CARRIED" Resolution #C-466 Moved by Con. Prout, seconded by Con. Oke. THAT whereas apPI10val has been granted by Resolution #C-389 to the sale to the Ontario Housing Corporation of approximately one half of the park land on Nelson Street for the purpose of constructing Senior Citizen Accommondation: BE IT RESOLVED that the remaining portion of the park land be reserved for the purpose of developing additional Senior Citizen Units as and when required and that during this interim period the Town agrees to maintain the remaining portion as Park Land. Oke, seconded by Con. Prout. THAT the report on the Voting on the By-law be accepted. "CARRIED" Resolution #C-469 Moved by Con. Hughes, seconded by Con. Bourke. THAT the number of Council Standing Committees be reduced in number to 4 being Finance, Protection to Persons and Property, Public Works and Community Services and that four members of Council be appointed to each Committee with the Mayor serving as the fifth member ex-officio. "CARRIED" Resolution #C-470 Moved by Con. Hughes, seconded by Con. Rundle. THAT appointments to the Arena Board of Management, the Playground Joint Board of Management and the Recreation Committee be the same personnel to bring under one management and co-ordinate the program of recreation. "CARRIED" Resolution #C-471 Moved by Con. Prout, seconded by Deputy Reeve Fice. THAT the matter of an increase in the remuneration paid to Commissioners of the Public Utilities Commission be referred to the 1968-69 Council. "CARRIED" ,- Resolution #C-472 Moved by Con.
