SANTA CLAUS PARADE - MINUTES OF MEETING
November 14, 2007
Program Meeting
Start Time: 7:00 p.m. Finish Time: 8:00 p.m.
Attendance: Valerie McCormick, Kathy McLaughlin,Roger Letooze,Debbie Fernandes,
Terryl Tzikas,Lisa Kowal,Marie Hammond,Marie Hammond, Tracey Bayley-Buckle,
Dawn Longmire, Sheri Crago
Previous Minutes ivere accepted by Marie, Seconded by Roger. All in
favour—passed
VALERIE McCORMICK—Chairperson
• Val has 30 Santa Hats
• $250,00 has been dropped off at the Legion,will pick up receipt on Saturday
• Mark and Val have put up the sign. Looks good. Maybe change color of date
hard to see as you drive by. We will need to do permit for sign every year
• Date on Committee Float has been changed to 46"'
• Try to think of a theme for next year
• Val will pick up Watkie Talkies on Friday
• Val has purchased a gift for Ron Thompson(statue of Santa that lights up) and
Pat Laing(Snowman). Gave gift to Santa was quite touched to receive this.
• Phone call to Clarington Senior Association,they can hand out candies

• Has a cheque for Bobs Towing
e Has received monies from OPG$500.00 and Foundry$150.00
® $5,900.00 in donations this year

• Has lots of help for make up
• Reids Dairy no longer has sippy bags,will purchase Kool Aid Jammers from
Loblaws
DEBBIE FERNANDES—Floats and Fillers
• Iias everything ready for line up
• List is ready to go
DAWN LONGA41RE—Buttons, Costumes
• Nothing to report
ROGER LEETOOZE —Judging/Posters/Rogers Cable/Buttons and Button boxes
• Button boxes are at the Legion
• Quarry Lakes ready, Val to be there at 7;30 a.m.
• Bag of buttons will be picked up at Legion Friday,
TERRYL TZIKAS —Secretary
• Terryl to pick up signed permit on Friday
• She will get numbers all lined up Saturday
KATHY MCLAUGHLIN—Publicity
• Kathy has contacted Laverne at paper re Taking off Durham Regional Police for
Toy Drive and adding Teen 4 Teens.
SHERI CRAGO - Bands
Ten bands are booked
Durham Girls Choir will be on float
® No Bios for Bands
Was under budget
LISA KOWAL— Volunteer Co-Ordinator
• Has only eight people for crowd control
• Has 7 pacers
