SANTA CLAUS PARADE MINUTES OF MEMNG
September 22, 2008

Attendance: Roger Letooze, Kathy McLaughlin, Val McCormick,
Debbie Fernandes, Dawn Longmire, Tracy Bayley-Buckle, Lisa Kowal, Terryi Tzikas,

• Website - Matthew McCormick doing website. Matt trying to do new
Website for next year, not as labor Intensive
• Val will be away for this year's parade and asking Greg Belanger to step In
with the help of Kathy.
• Maybe ask Val Gardner as a 2nd choice. Anyone that would like to do this
please speak to Val.
• Val Gardner would like to drive Mayor this year
• Get Ken Hockin to announce during parade to buy buttons
• Audit has been done by Town all is well
• Button boxes with Clarington Project at moment

• Debbie asked Valerie if we should invite the Harley's this year. Valerie
stated, "yes" and she will touch base with them prior to the parade if they
complete the paperwork to be in the parade.
NEW BUSINESS
• Button sales were down last year. How do we promote It this year? Kathy
suggested putting an ad in the paper with a sample picture of the button
and try and promote this way.
• Volunteer of the Year was discussed and decided that Gord weir will be our
Volunteer of the Year this year
• Val to give Roger Plaque (Volunteer of the Year plaque)
