A BY-LAW TO CONFIRM THE, PROCEEDINGS OF TllE' COUNCIL
OF THE TOWN OF NEWCASTLE AT THIS MEETING HELD ON THE
4th DAY OF JANUARY 1982
WHEREAS by Section 9 of The Municipal Act., hcint; Chapter 284
of the Revised Statutes of Ontario 1970, the powers of' a municipal
corporation are to be exercised by its Council.
AND WHEREAS by Subsection 1 of Section 211 of The Municipal Act,
.being Chapter 284 of the Revised Statutes of Ontario 1970, the
powers of every Council are to be exercised by by -law;
NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF NL'WCASTLI: ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
1. The actions of the Council of the Town of Newcastle at this
meeting held on the 4th day ofJanuary 1982 in respect of each
recommendation contained in the reports of the Committees and
eAch motion and resolution passed tend other action taken by the
Council of the Town of Newcastle at this mec: tint, is hereby
adopted and confirmed as if all such proceedings were expressly
embodied in this by -law.
2. The Mayor and proper i her Town ()I' Neweas t l c; are
hereby authorized and directed to do ;i 1 1 thin;:, necessary to
give effect to the action~ of thc Coutrc.;i1 of the 'Town of
Newcastle referred to in the I�rc:cccd i nl; section hereof.
3. The Mayor and Clerk are authorized autd directed to execute all
documents necessary in that behalf and to afl'.ix thereto the
Seal of the Town of Newc'astic.
