HomeMy WebLinkAbout68-13THE CORIPORATION OF THE VILLAGE OF NEWCASTLE BY-LAIJ NO. 68— /45 designating a pedestrian crossover `:VH 'HEAS clause 18a of subsection 1 of section 1 of The Highway Traffic Act (R. X7.0. 1960, chapter 172) provides that:- Tipedestrian crossover" means any portion of a. roadway, designated by by-law of a municipality, at an intersection or elsewhere distinctly indicated for pedestrian, crossing by signs on the highway and by lines or other markings on the surface of the roadway as prescribed by the regulations; AND uVF EA3 it is deemed expedient to designate certain portions of roadways as pedestrian crossovers; NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of the Village of Newcastle enacts as follows:- 1. The portions of roadways set out in Column 1 hereunder at the location named in Column 2 are designated as pedestrian crossovers. Column 1 Hill Street C'nl I-Irn-n 9 Robert St. (north side) 2. The penalties provided in subsection 6 of section 6?a of The Highway Traffic Act shall apply to offences against this by-law. 3. This by-law shall not become effective until approved by the Department of Transport.
